(1) Classification according to the connection mode with the press

Portable molds belong to external loading and unloading molds.The mould is not fixed to the press.In general, the parting, charging, closing and taking out of the mould after forming are carried out outside the machine.The mold itself is not heated.This mould is suitable for pressing small and medium sized products in small quantities.Mobile mould has simple structure, short manufacturing cycle and low cost.However, feeding, mold opening, taking and other procedures are manual operation, high labor intensity, low production efficiency.

The fixed mold belongs to the machine loading and unloading mold.It is fixed to the press and has its own heating device.The entire production process, namely, parting, charging, closing, forming and ejecting products are carried out on the press.Fixed mold service life is long, suitable for the production of large batch, large size products.

(3) The semi-fixed mold between the above two molds, generally for the upper mold fixed on the press, the lower mold can be moved along the guide, with the positioning block positioning.

 

(2) Classification according to the characteristics of the parting surface

The function of the parting surface is to take the finished product out of the mold cavity or to meet the needs of the molding such as installation of inserts and exhaust.

The horizontal parting surface is parallel to the working table of the press.
